The Matrix is Garage Project's internal operations platform — deliveries signed on glass, kegs labelled and barcoded, freight routed island by island. We rebuilt it from legacy PHP into a React system the brewery still runs on today.

Internal tools in one platform — from deliveries to the Beer Bible.
Label builders — keg, case, pallet and parcel.
Islands of freight logistics, each with its own article numbers and exports.
Proof of delivery signed on glass, captured as a vector signature.
Web orders flowing straight into the parcel builder for fulfilment.
The whole platform, rebuilt from legacy PHP into a modern React system.
Garage Project makes some of Aotearoa’s best-loved beer — and behind every can is an operation: orders, kegs, labels, barcodes, freight to two islands, deliveries to sign and sales to track.
The Matrix grew to hold all of it — one internal platform where a Shopify web order lands as a parcel to build, a driver collects a signature at the door, a keg label goes from screen to printer, and the sales team watches live numbers. The kind of software nobody outside the building sees, and nobody inside could work without.
Years of brewery knowledge lived in the Matrix — the rebuild kept every workflow and modernised everything underneath.

A separate brief from the Matrix — front-end and back-end, built end to end.
FRESH Club is Garage Project’s subscription for dedicated craft-beer lovers — a new hazy IPA to the door every month. We built the Certified Fresh retailer finder: a simple, fast way for drinkers to discover where to grab the freshest stock near them, region by region.
Deliveries, web orders, labels, freight, forms, HR and dashboards — twenty-plus workflows that once lived in separate places, run from one internal platform.
Keg, case, pallet and parcel builders with barcode generation and per-island article numbers — the physical side of a brewery, produced by software.
Shopify web orders flow straight into the parcel builder, and every drop-off is signed on glass — captured as a vector signature, stored and searchable in the archive.
The platform carried years of operational knowledge — the rebuild moved it onto modern React foundations without losing a workflow the team relied on, and it's still in daily use at the brewery today.
Twenty tools, a decade of daily use — rebuilt without missing a delivery.
